Nordhausen, Germany – Every detail counts in the construction industry: it takes precision, reliability and care to guarantee safety, durability and trust. This attitude has shaped the work of SPESA Spezialbau und Sanierung GmbH for three decades, whether in specialist foundation engineering or the rehabilitation of existing structures. This high level of quality has now been officially certified for their services in slope and rock stabilization: On April 29, 2026, the company received the RAL quality mark from the Gütegemeinschaft Hang- und Felssicherung e.V. (Association for quality assurance in slope and rock stabilization e.V.)

The highest standards for tested quality

The RAL quality system and its quality marks have represented quality, trust and sustainable business for more than 100 years. They provide orientation for customers seeking high-quality, safe and reliable products and services from nearly all areas of life. At the same time, RAL quality marks also address important additional criteria such as sustainability, economic efficiency or customer orientation. With its numerous quality seals, the RAL quality system offers neutrality, independence, transparency and consistent review of the defined standards.

Membership in RAL quality association

Since January 19, 2026, SPESA Spezialbau und Sanierung GmbH is a member of the Gütegemeinschaft Hang- und Felssicherung e.V., an RAL quality association that brings together design offices, construction firms, system manufacturers and educational institutions. The goal is to define and consistently preserve the strictest standards of quality when it comes to slope and rock stabilization. Reliable safety, efficiency and long-term quality are guaranteed throughout the entire design, construction and use cycle of protective structures that prevent natural hazards. At the same time, this membership promotes professional dialog and helps to make tendering and procurement processes more transparent and comparable. “We are very proud to join this renowned institution,” remarks Björn Gorsboth, Department Head at SPESA Spezialbau und Sanierung GmbH. “This demonstrates the high level of our work when it comes to slope and rock stabilization.”

RAL quality mark awarded to Spesa

Alongside membership in the quality association, obtaining the RAL quality mark for slope and rock stabilization is an official certification of Spesa’s quality performance. This serves as a guarantee for owners, architects and engineers that the company’s products and services meet the strictest requirements for usability and durability. Consistent implementation of all the necessary quality and testing conditions has been confirmed, which means that Spesa is now officially authorized to use the RAL quality mark for slope and rock stabilization. Regular third-party monitoring by neutral auditors as well as continuous self-checks ensure that standards remain consistently high. “With RAL certification, Spesa confirms once again that the highest level of quality and safety in construction are not just a promise: they are our established practice,” concludes Björn Gorsboth. “Owners and engineers benefit from certified expertise, reliable processes and long-term solutions – from the first design draft all the way to project completion.”
